Jewellery Classes

After much asking I am finally going to run some beginner jewellery classes. I want to share my skills, wisdom and workshop with you.

I have over 15 years’ experience in jewellery making designing and making my own line, repairing a whole range of jewellery and objects, taught at community college and run classes at the local visual art high school.

 My aim is to teach you the basic skills to both traditional jewellery techniques and some modern concepts that will open up a whole new world of possibilities. No prior experience necessary, just a burning desire to learn a new skill and the use of tools.

 The classes are broken into 2.5 hour practical lessons (Includes all materials of base metals, wires, findings, consumables, use of tools). Each class is designed for you to learn and achieve several skills in succession at your own pace. You will be amazed what I can help you accomplish!

Choose to take the next 2.5hr class any time over the available dates to build on your skills or to simply make jewellery with the skills you already know using my workshop and my tuition.

The first class will always be an initial learning of the basic skills that will hold you in good stead for you to plan a project for any future classes.

You can bring along beads or other found objects that might be sentimental to you so that you can incorporate into your project (this is optional and your piece might not always fit into your project). Otherwise I have a selection of beads for you to choose from.
